massage therapy for relaxation + pain relief
massage can help ease unpleasant symptoms of tension and discomfort while creating an opportunity for you to unwind into deep relaxation and grounding.
listen to your body and help it heal
With everything happening in our busy lives and this wild world, making time for our own self-care can be at the end of our long to-do lists. Your body will always send cues when it’s time to listen. Tension, pain, aches, anxiety and stress are all just taps on your tight shoulders, letting you know it’s time to put focus back into your body and start making changes.
Massage helps keep your body + mind in balance.
Massage is not only enjoyable, but also clinically proven for pain relief, decreasing inflammation, and facilitating natural healing processes. By taking the time to put intentional energy back into your body, allows the mind to slow, relax, and restoratively reset.

After chasing your adorable (but very busy) toddler around, you strained your back scooping them up into your arms and that nagging shoulder blade pain that followed just won’t let up.
You went on an incredible, though longer than usual trail run, to clear your head. And since, your knee pain has been making it difficult to regularly exercise and keep your stress levels in check.
We’re here to get you ahead of those unwanted, nagging symptoms and set the tone for how you really want to feel. Back in your body and ready to keep moving!

Think of massage as a reset button for your nervous system. When life cranks up the stress or your body’s feeling sore and tense, massage helps signal to your brain, “Hey, it’s safe to relax now.”
By applying feel-good pressure and soothing movement, massage calms the body’s alarm system and encourages the release of natural feel-good chemicals like endorphins and serotonin. That means less tension, fewer pain signals, and more of that “ahhh” feeling.
It’s not just about digging out knots or “fixing” things—it’s about helping your brain and body work together to feel more at ease. So whether you’re dealing with a cranky back, a stressful week, or just want to unwind, massage gives your system a chance to breathe, reset, and feel better.

Great question—and the short answer is: it depends on what your body needs right now.
Massage therapy is a fantastic tool for both rehab and regular maintenance. It’s especially helpful when your body’s dealing with compensations—those little adjustments we make (often without realizing it) to protect an injured area. Massage can help calm things down, improve movement, and reduce pain while your body’s healing.
That said, if you're dealing with a more complex issue—like recovering from surgery, a significant muscle or ligament tear, or something that needs a deeper dive—it’s often best to start with a physiotherapist. They’re trained to assess movement patterns, build structured rehab plans, and help pinpoint what’s going on under the surface. Chiropractors can also be helpful for joint-specific issues and improving mobility.
But here’s the good news: it doesn’t have to be either-or. Massage works beautifully alongside physio and chiro. We’re all part of the same team, working together to get you feeling your best—pain-free, moving well, and back to doing what you love.

Most people leave their massage floating in what we lovingly call the “massage haze”—that blissed-out, dopey-happy feeling where your body is calm, your mind is quiet, and you’re pretty sure you could nap just about anywhere. That post-treatment glow is your nervous system shifting into a relaxed state, and your body saying, “Thank you, I needed that.”
Depending on what we worked on, you might feel a bit of tenderness later that day or the next—especially if we focused on deeper areas or did more clinical-style work to support rehab. It’s kind of like the “good sore” feeling you might get after a workout, and it usually fades within a day or two.
Overall, you’ll likely feel more grounded, more in tune with your body, and pleasantly aware of just how much tension you were holding onto before you walked in. Think of it as hitting the reset button—physically and mentally.

Great question—and the real answer is: it depends on your body, your issue, and how long it’s been hanging around.
If your pain or tension didn’t show up overnight, chances are it won’t disappear overnight either. Massage can be incredibly effective, but it often works best as part of a process, not a one-and-done fix. Each session helps your body unwind a little more, calms your nervous system, and supports your natural healing process.
Some folks feel major relief after one treatment, while others need a few spaced out over time to really notice lasting changes. We’ll work with you to find a rhythm that makes sense, based on how your body responds.
And don’t forget—what you do between treatments matters too! Your RMT will give you helpful homecare tips (like stretches or posture tweaks) to keep the momentum going and help prevent the issue from creeping back in. The combo of hands-on work and smart self-care is where the real magic happens.
